About Us

We have specialized in Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) diagnosis and treatment in children, adolescents and adults since 1982.  We provide state of the art ADHD diagnosis and evaluation utilizing rating scales, interviewing, computerized testing and Quantitative EEG topographic brain mapping.  We are thorough and comprehensive, evaluating carefully for the presence of ADHD and / or other disorders.  Many other disorders can mimic ADHD (Post –Concussive Syndrome, Learning disabilities, Depression and Anxiety to name a few) or can be present as co-existing disorders.  Our ADHD Evaluation can sort these issues out to avoid misdiagnosis.

My daughter was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder when she was very young. We did not want to put her on meds, so we gave neurofeedback a try. It was life changing for her. Her anxiety was and is controlled. She has been able to function normally into adulthood. I don’t know what we would have done without this treatment option or the wonderful staff at Scottsdale Neurofeedback Institute.

Very impactful. Awesome staff. I had my brain mapped and lots of tests. Had quite a few things to work on with the neurofeedback and it has been incredibly impactful on my quality of life. I recommend it to loads of people day to day and I think this clinic is wonderful. If you’ve been considering neurofeedback for any reason, check them out.

Treatment of coexisting disorders

Medication can be part of treatment. Effectiveness of medication can be evaluated and the exact dose (within 2 1/2 mg.) determined with our battery of tests and rating scales. Medication used alone, however, may be insufficient. Research has shown that a comprehensive multi-modularity treatment program can bring dramatic results. EEG Biofeedback is available as an alternative or supplement to medication. Twenty years of research has shown that EEG Biofeedback can decrease the excessive slow wave activity characteristic of ADD, thereby raising test scores as much as does medication. Rating scales and grades improve, hyperactivity and impulsivity decrease and IQ has been found to increase by 10 to 15 points. The improvements have been found to maintain at follow-up 27 years later.
